ON DECEMBER 31,2019,the world health Organisation's(WHO)China office heared first reports of a previously unkown virus behind a number of cases in WUHAN,a city in china with over 11 Million population

There have been over 211,853confirmed cases and,8,724 deaths according to the John Hopkins university Covid-19 dashboard,which collects information from national and international health authorities.

This Disease has been spread over 150 countries and territories.
The major Countries experiencing the most outbreaks outside of China are Italy,Iran and Spain

                         HOW DID COVID-19 START?

The Disease appears to have originated from Wuhan seafood market where wild animals, including marmots,birds,rabbits,bats and snakes are traded illegally.
Corona viruses are known to spread from animals to human,so it's thought that the first people infected with this disease- a group primarly made up of stallholders from the seafood market-contracted it fromcontact with animals
At initial analysis of virus Covid-19 suggested to be similar to pathogens found in snakes
The Virologist found the new corona viruses'genetic structure is 96 % similar to the one found in bats.
 

The Wuham market was shut down for inspection and clraning on Januvary1,2020 but by then it appeares to spread beyond the market itself
On january 21,the WHO Western Pacific Office said. disease was also being transmitted between humans.
